Quad Squad & Bestie Roomies

Megan, Nicole, and Alie came up yesterday for my birthday.
They drove 4 1/2 hours from NNU after waking up at 3:30 a.m.! They are so good to me.
They got here at 9:30.
Main highlights:
lunch at Hogi Yogi
visit to the falls in Idaho Falls
games with roomies at apartment
1/2 of Hello, Dolly! (Hogi Yogi has a really cool loft upstairs that they rent out; it has a nice big screen with a projector, super comfy couches and big bean bag looking things, etc.)
ice blocking!
and yelling around campus :)

Quad Squad at the falls
Poor Megan... she slipped and fell in the mud on her and my trek to the treacherous waters.
Colie in loft at Hogi Yogi.
Look at those amazing (bean?) bags.
If you ever find/see one... let me know, please.
ICE BLOCKING!!!
We were there for about 2 hours and found the best hill! It was ridiculously fun.

Scott thought it would be cool to go on his back, backwards.

He actually got to the bottom of the hill like this! It was crazy.

Bestie Roomies!
Everyone getting along :)
It was such an amazing day!! I am so blessed with the best roommates and friends!

New Creation & Bday Happiness

My bday was basically just a normal day. Which was good. I made dinner for seven... tortellini and sausage soup (one of my faves).
I got a lot of phone calls and watched HELLO, DOLLY! Those two things made it wonderful.
Here's our awesome movie theatre set-up. Kaylie is a genius.

I also got spoiled by me madre!
Thanks Mom!
You're too good to me :)
And...
Meet my brilliant creation.
Corn Pops and Cocoa Puffs!
I'm tellin' ya...
Delish.
I expect EVERYONE to try it and get back to me.
No excuses.
;)

Oblivious

I usually save blogging for Sundays, but today was too fantastic.
I have the best roommates and FHE group ever.
They COMPLETELY surprised me with a mini party.
My birthday isn't till thursday, but hello... you can't have FHE on a thursday! Crazy.
They were ridiculously good at hiding it, putting me to work (vacuuming, moving chairs into the living room, cleaning up, etc.) and everything.
Acting like we were having a normal FHE at our apartment and then sending me over to "help our other girls carry stuff over to our apartment.
Incredible. And super sweet.
Kaylie's bf, Kiel.
Don't mind my bum looking appearance.. didn't really have time to prep :(
24 candles. LoL
Super sweet decorations!
And Allie
Ok.
My tongue is NOT in her ear.
It's just her cheek.
Besties
We're silly ;)

Dorm & Hymn Sundays

So, these are mainly just pictures of home :)

It's more like an apartment complex than anything else.
We even have a nice courtyard in the middle.
This is what my roommates do after midnight.
(Once all the boys are kicked out).
Notice the lovely decor.
And everyday we move our furniture around, to keep everyone guessing.
There are so many places where we can right with dry erase markers.
And trust me, we take full advantage of it!
I PROMISE our kitchen is not always this messy!
We don't do dishes on Sundays :)
We are good commandment keepers.
And we had had eight people for dinner tonight (which I made by the way).
Our fully-loaded pantry.
My shelves...
third from top,
second from bottom,
AND very bottom, which you can't see very well.
Scary. I know. What can I say?
My mom stocked me up for the year.

Mine and Sara's bedroom.
Anny and Kaylie's bedroom.
So, every Sunday night everyone is invited to
hymn singing under the stadium.
It is absolutely incredible.
The hymns are so powerful and full of the Spirit.
This is probably my most favorite tradition/activity.
And this is definitely not even close to all of the people that show up.
This is my Anny Banany at the hymn night.
Ok. Two things.
On the left is our newly created Pure Awesomeness Chart.
Roommates and other people who are here all the time all have a piece of paper on the wall.
When cool things are done by the people, they get a star sticker.
Different colored stars mean different things.
It's a work in progress.
On the right is my creation.
Jamaal.
Jamaal on the Wall.
Kaylie's boyfriend leaves his keyboard here.
Which is way nice, because random people come over and play for us.
And, again, notice the decorations.
I'm telling you...
We could not stand our very white walls.
On the right is our "quote wall."
Whenever someone says something super funny we write it down and put it on the wall.

One Week Down...

I survived!!
Classes are amazing. I have BOM, A Farewell to Art, Science Foundations, Real World Math, and English Foundations. I just love how in every single class we relate everything to the Gospel, it's awesome.
My roommates and I have never gone to bed before midnight. For instance, Friday night/Saturday morning Anny and I didn't do laundry until 2 a.m. and got over at 4 a.m.
Sara and Kaylie already have boyfriends (they have known them for less than a week), no worries... I'm stayin strong.
The roommates and I are still getting along ridiculously well.
Kaylie is Relief Society president! So, today I gave the very first Relief Society lesson for the semester. It was so much fun. I learned so much and never got nervous!
There is just so much to tell, everything is so exciting here, it's a party all the time, everyone is super nice, we are constantly laughing, I have learned sooo much just in this past week, I miss everyone from OH (not too much.. don't worry), and... life is good.

Roomies!!!

So, in case you didn't know I'm at BYU-Idaho.
I got here Thursday the 5th.
I LOVE IT!
It is wonderful. Everyone is super nice and friendly. We have prayers constantly, even after talent shows!!!! The boys are actually gentlemen, and semi-mature. I usually don't like orientation stuff, but it wasn't been so bad. Classes haven't started yet, so that's always good ;)
Oh yes, and...
I have the BEST roommates. There are four of us. We are in a kind of apartment-like set-up. Kitchen. Living room. Bathroom. And two bedrooms.

Sorry, my laptop isn't downloading the photos from my camera, so you'll have to bear with me.
Oh and each of the girls have two pics. They kind of ran into each other.

Meet Kaylie...
She didn't show up until we had all been here for a day and a half. She is super sweet, hard-working, and helpful. She is always willing and wanting to be the leader. She has already been
here for a semester, so she has been ridiculously helpful; a huge asset. She's been way good for tours and the "ins and outs".

Meet Anny...
She is way fun! We're actually from the same stake and knew each other. How crazy is that!? She is way easy to talk to (we do a lot of it) and up for anything. She is fluent in Spanish (my mom told her that she expects me to be fluent by the end of the year). She has never had mac and cheese or nutella!!! So, it was fun introducing her to those, since, of course, they will be the main food staples throughout college.

And my room roommate... Sara.
She is super fun, ridiculously nice, and happy. She is also very neat, so I guess I have to step it up and actually keep my side of the room looking nice. But at the same time, she is really laid back and easy-going. She has a hilarious sense of humor and definitely keeps us laughing.

They are all amazing.... so far ;)
We all stick together super well. We all started getting along really well right off, which isn't hard to believe, being at BYU, where everyone gets along. We had a meeting today. We decided we are going to have morning and evening prayers together (family prayers if you will). We figured out our jobs for cleaning. We decided how we are going to do our meals and such. I am so excited. We are all on the same track. None of us are trying to be "different" or "rebel" or anything. It is fantastic.

Classes start tomorrow. Church was today and, as always, was fantastic. Testimonies were way better than I thought... no too many "... and I have been blessed with the best roommates."

I really want to give out my address and email, but I really don't want to do that over blogger... so... if you have any ideas, let me know please. If you have my number just call me and I'll give it to you (only if you want it of course), otherwise, we'll have to get really creative. I've emailed the info to the people whose emails I have. Love and miss you all!

So thankful for RMs

So, today all of the upperclassmen showed up to school. And let me tell you... it is so wonderful. A lot of good-looking, more mature guys. Heaven.

Anyways. There are such huge differences between premies and RMs. RMs are just so much more mature. Don't get me wrong the freshmen are way good guys. They are all way nice and polite, but the RMs are so much more humble and just wonderful!!!

But no worries... I'm pretty sure I'll be able to last until after my mission to get married. :) Rest assured.
